.Honeycomb Rock

This 1956 ranch style residence was virtually un-touched when we got our hands on it. The scope was a complete interior remodel with a focus on the kitchen and master suite. The existing plan used many load bearing walls in the main space which created a cramped, compartmentalized public space. The master bedroom was an oversized bedroom with undersized bathroom and closet. The compartmentalized public space was opened up to create an open living, kitchen, dining space. The clients, originally from New Orleans, wanted a fun neutral palette while incorporating bold colors and elements such as a navy island and gold accessories. The Master suite was transformed into a better scaled bedroom which allowed the bathroom and closet to grow and accommodate a large walk in closet and bathroom with double vanity and walk-in shower complete with free standing tub.
