6 years after completing an addition to the original house, these clients were ready to pursue phase 2 which included the kitchen, a hall bath and transform the unused screen porch into an architecturally driven flex space that could serve as sun room, sitting room with fireplace, office space, and future bedroom. The envelope is custom steel and glass, stucco wall, and a custom fabricated hickory window seat. The kitchen design was driven by the chef’s kitchen at the heart of the house. The pantry is clad in blackened steel and serves as the family’s “control center”.
